Profile
My name is Ilias Gaitanaris, and I have been involved in Chinese martial arts since the age of 13. I have competed as an athlete in club-level and national championships across various styles, both modern and traditional Taolu, achieving numerous distinctions. My journey to China, where I studied at the Traditional Wushu Kung Fu Academy in Taishan, completed my development as an athlete and initiated me into the world of teaching.
As a result, I successfully completed the Level C Wushu Kung Fu Coaches’ School of the General Secretariat of Sports and the Hellenic Wushu Federation. As a judge, I have attended valuable seminars led by Greek and foreign judges under the auspices of the Hellenic Federation, which helped me advance to Level A Judge of the Hellenic Federation, member of the Judging Committee (KED), and European Level B Judge.
My goal is to promote the sport and encourage more practitioners to engage in it, guided by the principles of Wushu Kung Fu: honorable competition, respect, discipline, and the balance of body and mind.
